Wesley Huie Obituary

Wesley Dewayne Huie, age 76, of Clinton, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at his home in Bee Branch, Arkansas. Wesley was married to Anita Guyll (Huie), who was a true blessing to him during their nine years of marriage; they loved and cared for each other every day.

Wesley was born on December 17, 1948, in Porterville, California, to the late Johnny and Irene Huie. After high school, Wesley joined the United States Navy and served one and a half years in Vietnam on river boats. He earned the Bronze Star, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Star.

Following his military service, Wesley attended five different trade schools, earning degrees in Refrigeration, Dairy Cattle, Welding, Master Electrician, and Diesel Mechanics. He worked for Magma/BHP in San Manuel, Arizona, for over 19 years as a master welder, where he later retired. It was said he was the only welder qualified to perform certain types of specialized welds, and his work ethic was deeply appreciated.

Wesley was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, son, and friend. He was rough around the edges but a truly good man who loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is now walking the streets of gold with Jesus, his son Michael, his parents, and many other loved ones who have gone before him.

Wesley was a member of Point Remove Baptist Church in Formosa, Arkansas, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, working, and camping in his younger years. In later years, he found joy in working in his shop, watching TV with his wife, and spending time with his grandchildren, attending their sporting events and school activities. Wesley will be deeply missed by the many who loved and respected him.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Anita; his children, Bryan (Lizette) Huie of Sahuarita, Arizona, Earl (Gillian) Huie of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Julia (Michael) Emery of Clinton, Arkansas, and Johnnie (Rachel) Huie of Clinton, Arkansas; four bonus daughters, Sierra Shelton of Cornville, Arizona, and Becky Rogers of Naturita, Colorado, Tiffany (Dave) Lambert of Norman, Oklahoma and Ashley (James) DeNoyer of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; one bonus son, Todd (Renee) Guyll of West Fork, Arkansas; nine grandchildren; 15 bonus grandchildren; and two bonus great-grandchildren who loved him dearly. He also leaves behind two siblings, Sandra Acuff and Ike Huie, both of Clinton, Arkansas, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Wesley was welcomed into Heaven by his parents, Johnny and Irene Huie; one brother, Garland Huie; his son, Michael Dale Huie; two grandnieces, Margarita and Caroline; one grandnephew, Mikal; and many other beloved family members.

Pallbearers will be Johnnie Huie, Earl Huie, Bryan Huie, Nathan Huie, Michael Emery, and Richard Napier.

Honorary pallbearers are Jim Rose, James Bagley, Nick Bagley, Wayne Allred, and Walter Middleton.
