Ricky Joe Linn, 55, of Clinton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 5, 2026. Ricky was born August 13, 1970, to the late Diane Linn Barnum of Greers Ferry and Tommy Joe Linn of Clinton. He was also preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Dois and Audrey Linn of Clinton and Ebb and Betty Gentry of Greers Ferry.
Ricky is survived by his sons, Tyler and Caleb Linn of Clinton, whom he loved deeply. He also leaves behind two sisters, Paula Linn (Jesse Berry) of Shirley and Amanda Newman (Jody) of Clinton; one stepbrother, John Barnum of Greers Ferry; nieces Savannah Ervin (Taylor) of Gentry, Arkansas, and Kayla Cummings (Brett) of DeWitt; and nephew Christopher Walley (Dahli) of Clinton.
He was a proud great-uncle to Harper, Blakley, Sawyer, and Easton Cummings, and Noah, Easton, and Greyson Walley, who all brought him so much joy. Ricky is also survived by a very special friend, Bettye Smith of Clinton, who meant so much to him.
Ricky loved deeply and fought bravely. He faced a long and difficult battle with cancer with strength and courage. Though his family's hearts are heavy, we find comfort knowing he is now healed and whole. We like to imagine him now in Heaven, fishing on a peaceful bank with his dad, Tom, sharing stories and laughter the way they always did.
Ricky lived his life with strength and perseverance, and the words of scripture remind us of the race he ran with faith:
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord will give me on that day."
— 2 Timothy 4:7
Ricky will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his memory, laughter, and the love he gave will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at the Colony Cemetery in Bee Branch.
