Reginold Oliver Davis

(Reggie) Oliver Davis: On Monday, August 30, 2021, Reggie Davis passed away in Clinton, Arkansas. Reggie was born on October 13, 1937 in Lynchburg, VA, to Joseph T. Sr. and Elsie May Dunn, an early pioneering United States family. He lived a life that allowed him to travel around the world. He joined the United States Navy in 1955 and while aboard the USS Roanoke he was promoted to Seaman E3. He left the Navy in 1958.During his travels to California, he met and married Loretta Glover in May of 1956. At the time of her passing in 2008, they had been married for 52 years. Reggie had a wicked sense of humor and loved to talk to everyone he would meet. He belonged to the Order of Elks (Lodge #2045) and took pleasure in helping others. He met and married his wife Carol in 2010who became his traveling partner. They were able to travel to California to Germany and everywhere in-between.

He is survived and will be missed by his wife, Carol, his sons, Douglas. (Brenda), Donald W. (Debbie), Step son Tim (Pam), one sister, Lois Wright of Virginia; his Grandchildren, Jennifer R (Vicente) Chanee (Rudy), Bobbie, Travis, Amanda. As well as his Grandchildren, Kenneth, Miles, Katy, Rudy Jr., Luvaya, Skylar and Logan and many nieces &nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to his favorite charity, St. Jude’s., Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.

A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, September 4, 2021, 12:00 p.m. at the home of Reggie and Carol Davis located at 862 Watergate Rd. Clinton, Arkansas 72031.
