Nina Grace (Graham) Perkey, 80, of Clinton, Arkansas, departed from this world on Sunday, August 29, 2021. Her story began on Sunday, September 29, 1940 in Pennsylvania where she was born to the late David Graham and Louise Taylor Elliott. Nina was an X-Ray Tech for 60 years and spent 32 and half years at Ozark Health where she graciously cared for her patients from 1986 until 2019. She was very dedicated to her family and her career. If you simply asked how would you describe Nina, one would tell you that Nina was a very kind, giving, and loving person but was also a very stubborn and strong-willed lady and o boy could she tell you some stories. Nina always wanted to try and help as many people as she could, whether it be in her own home or in the hospital. She was adored by her patients and always tried to prescribe the best medicine of all, laughter and kindness. In the last few years of her career, she mostly overseen the ones receiving their mammograms aka the boob squeezer. Nina enjoyed many things throughout her life such as sewing, baking, cooking, traveling to see new places, and trying new foods. She was always willing to try and learn new things; like the time she tried cake decorating for the first time and quickly found out that it was not for her but she said it was the best $20 she had ever spent on Cindy. In her last few years, she enjoyed reading and watching television. Nina loved everyone and everything, she loved life, but, above everything else she loved God and her family the most. and always loved hearing stories from her son David and daughter in law Felicia about the adventures and shenanigans of her grand pigs Baby aka Babe/Pig Pig, Penelope aka Nelly, and Rosemary . She was a very special lady and will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and the people whose lives she touched.
Nina is lovingly remembered by her children, Cynthia Burns-Lee (Perkey) and David Paul Perkey and wife Felicia; grandchildren, Tamara Smith, Jordan Smith, Ronne Burns, Desiree Burns, Rhea Brock, Ronald Burns Jr., Rebecca Johnson, Audra Harrison, Jennifer Burns, Alex Zuniga Perkey; 19 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
