It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael Joseph Pratt on August 28, 2024. Michael, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, left this world peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.
Born to Lester and Susan Pratt, Michael lived a life full of love and laughter. He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda, who was his partner and confidante for 38 cherished years. Together, they built a life filled with joy, adventure, and unwavering support for one another.
Michael was a proud father to his children, Bill Hesselbein and Deidre McLeod, who carry forward his legacy of kindness and strength. He adored his grandchildren—Will, Jake, Keeley Martin, and Aston McLeod, who brought him immense happiness and pride. As a great-grandfather, he cherished every moment spent with Oliver, Ezra, and Gwen, who will remember his warm smile and gentle spirit. Michael is also survived by his sister, Jeanine Wiley.
In his professional life, Michael was respected and admired for his dedication and hard work. Outside of work, he was known for his generous spirit, love for the outdoors, and passion for life. He had a unique ability to connect with others, leaving a lasting impact on everyone he met.
Michael's family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate his life and the legacy he leaves behind. A memorial service will be held on September 10, 2024 in Destin Florida, where his ashes will the returned to the waters he loved so much.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in Michael’s name to [charity or organization], reflecting his passion for helping others.
Rest in peace, Michael. Your love and wisdom will forever remain in our hearts.
