Mary Barbara (Ainsworth-May) Harvey

Mary Barbara (Ainsworth-May) Harvey, 73, of Choctaw, Arkansas, peacefully gained her Angel Wings surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, June 7, 2025.

Mary was born on November 23, 1951, on Thanksgiving Day to Richard and Barbara May in Jackson, Mississippi. She graduated high school in 1970 and went on to study business at Draungs Business College.

After Graduating with an Associate’s degree in business; she worked as an accountant for the State of Mississippi, Brooks and Noble Auto Parts Store and Jitney Jungle Stores.

Mary spent several years as an amazing stay at home mom and later went on to sell insurance for Woodman of the World and finally ended her working career as an account for P.E.H.

While living in Van Buren County, she served her community with Choctaw Fire Department for 11 years. She was a super sister, wife, mom, aunt and mamaw, and had so much faith as a prayer warrior. She touched so many lives and will be forever deeply missed.

Mary is preceded in death by her daughter, Jessica Harvey; parents, Richard and Barbara May; several aunts, uncles, family, and friends.

Left to dearly cherish her memory is her husband, Lamar Harvey; one brother, Dennis Ainsworth (Dawn); daughters, Brooks Gann (Jacen), Michelle Adams (Kenny); son, Michael Harvey (Theresa); one niece, Delissa Ainsworth, one nephew, Dan Ainsworth (Karina); grandsons, Jaymison, Jackson, Jonmayson, Jacen Jr. (Becca), Quincy, Nic, Dylan, George (CT); granddaughters, Jlynn, Alexis (Christian), Mayci, Melody, and Jeanna (Jackson); aunt/sister, Kathy Pauser (Rod), aunt, Julia Wilson; uncle, Uyless Alford; 5 great- grand kids, and many other cousins, other family members, and friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 14, 2025 with visitation at 1:00 p.m. with service following at 2:00 p.m. at Ozark View Funeral Home with Shane Tharp officiating.
