Mary Elizabeth (Alford) Byers

Mary Elizabeth Byers, 77, of Clinton, departed from this world on Friday, October 3, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 24, 1948, the beloved daughter of Tom Lee and Esther Harrell-Alford.

Mary was a God-fearing woman whose faith guided every step of her life. She was deeply loving, loyal, and kind — a woman whose generosity and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her. Mary was a precious sister, an amazing mother and grandmother, and a second mother to many of her nieces and nephews. Her wisdom, warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family will be forever cherished.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Elizabeth (Jason) Adams; sister, Louise Butler; grandchildren, Kody (Cyera) Adams, Logan, Brandon, and Zoey Adams, Jaden, Czaber, and Nancy Byers; niece and nephew, Gini Bridgman and Evertt (Laura) Butler.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Tom Lee and Esther Alford; son, Jeremy Byers; sister, Helen Bridgman; brother, Tommy Alford; niece, EeDee Butler; and nephew, Byron Bridgman.

A memorial service will be held in Oklahoma at a later date.
