Ledon F. Bonds

Ledon F. Bonds, 90, of Damascus, Arkansas, was called to her heavenly home on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. Born on November 16, 1933, in South Side, Arkansas, Ledon was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Ola Wilkes-Fleming.

Ledon lived a life full of faith, family, and passion. She was a woman of strong Christian beliefs, a guiding light to all who knew her. In her youth, Ledon was an outstanding basketball player, making her mark on the court during her high school days. Her love for sports carried on throughout her life, and she was an avid football fan who cherished the thrill of the game.

Above all, Ledon loved her family deeply. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, always placing the needs and happiness of her loved ones above her own. Her warm smile and kind heart will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Ledon leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and strength. She will be dearly missed, but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, son, Mike Bonds, daughter, Nan Gliniecki and husband Mark; one sister, Reba Parish; grandchildren, Nina Rau and husband Michael, Josh Gliniecki and wife Kelly; great-grandchildren, Daniel Rau, Mikayla Rau, Ethan Gliniecki, Cullen Gliniecki, Owen Gliniecki and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other family members.

Ledon is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Calvin Bonds; siblings, Jerita Kersey and Mary Knopp; grandchildren, Michael Bonds Jr. and Jennifer Leigh Bonds; one great-grandchild, Frances Rau.

A graveside service will be held, Monday, September 9, 2024 at Bee Branch Cemetery.
