Kayla Dawn Barnett-Black, 28, of Clinton, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
She was born on May 12, 1997, in Conway, Arkansas, to Teddy and Jennie Mayfield-Barnett.
Kayla was loved by so many people and will be missed more than words can say. She loved being outdoors and enjoyed nature, especially butterflies. Some of her happiest times were spent with her daughter, Autumn, whether they were outside playing or spending time together at the park.
Kayla believed in Jesus and was of the Christian faith. She had a kind heart and loved deeply, always caring for the people around her.
She will always be loved and never forgotten by those who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Autumn Reves; parents, Teddy and Jennie Barnett; brother, Teddy Barnett; sister, Kaitlin Barnett; two nieces, Kensley Barnett and Addison Woolwine; husband, Dustin Black; step-daughter, Nevaeh Black; father-in-law, Roy Black and many other friends and family members.
Kayla is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Jimmie Lou Fortson; paternal grandparents, Grady Lee Barnett and Mary Helen Barnett; uncles, William Mayfield, James Barnett and Larry Barnett.
Visitation will be held at the Half Moon Church at 10 a.m. with funeral services following at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2026. Burial will follow at the half moon cemetery.
