Karen Jean Wyborny, 81, of Scotland, Arkansas, passed away March 26, 2022. Karen was born on March 7, 1941, in Mason City, Iowa, to the late Earl Raymond Kinnan and Ardis Rheon (Miller) Colwell.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Kay Kidd of Ardmore, Oklahoma.
She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 58 years, Elton Duane Wyborny; one brother, Brian Colwell (Kathleen) of Prineville, Oregon; one daughter, Carrie Ward (Randy) of Clinton, Arkansas; one son, Jeffrey Wyborny (Kimberly) of Russellville, Arkansas; four grandchildren as well as three great-grandchildren, Ethan Ward (Dalena), Lauren Wyborny (children, Astrid Loven and Clementine Hubert), Erin Ragland (Curtis) (Child, Marney), and Milah Wyborny.
Karen made many dear friends through the years and enjoyed keeping in touch and hearing about their families. She enjoyed spending time with the ones who lived close.
A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Karen’s greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was her family’s biggest supporter. Always positive and encouraging, especially where her grandchildren were concerned. No matter the activity, she was there to support them and each of them had a special bond with Grandma Karen.
A graveside service will be held at Foster Cemetery, in Scotland, Arkansas at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Arkansas Children’s Foundation, P.O. Box 2222, Little Rock, AR 72203-9984 or online at www.archildrens.org.
