Karen Suzanne Ellis, 59, of Clinton, Arkansas, departed from this world Monday, March 27, 2023 surrounded by her husband and children. She was born April 3, 1963 in Merced, California to Charles and Linda Priest.
Karen graduated from Clinton High School in 1981 and later attended ASU Beebe. Afterwards she moved to Dallas where she was married and then raised two wonderful children, Calley and Jesse. One of the jobs she thoroughly enjoyed was her time spent as a communications specialist, dispatching for the Farmers Branch Police Department. Karen later returned to Arkansas in 2008 to be with her ailing father. In 2009 she married Phillip Ellis. While living in Clinton, she enjoyed babysitting many children, especially her nieces and nephews and later her greatest joy, her grandchildren. When she was not caring for kids, Karen loved fishing, cooking, reading books, and watching documentary television.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Phillip Ellis; mother, Linda Priest; children, Calley Krisell (Luke) and Jesse Alvarado (Bailie); siblings, Lisa Nixion and Steve Priest; grandchildren, Daisy Jane and Wyatt John Krisell; many nieces and nephews and her dogs, Kiki and Gabby.
Karen is preceded in death by her father Charles Priest.
The family would like to thank Hospice for all their care and support.
