James Thomas Rodgers, 58, of Clinton, passed from this life on Saturday, July 22, 2023. He was born April 1, 1965 in Isola, Missisippi to the late Alice Faye and Jesse James Rodgers. James was an extraordinary person who always managed to make others laugh, show love and care, and bring happiness to everyone around him. He was someone you could count on to help and support others, even if it meant giving the clothes off his back. James had a big heart and always had inspiring words to share.
Everyone loved having James around because he was the life of the party. He had a way of making everyone feel good and brought a breath of fresh air to any gathering. He was a down-to-earth person who never bragged and had a heart of gold. James took great care of his loved ones and was an amazing husband and father. He had a special place in his heart for his dogs, and they meant the world to him.
On top of everything else, James was an incredible cook, a fantastic storyteller, and had a beautiful singing voice. You could always count on him to whip up a delicious meal, entertain everyone with his stories, or enchant the room with his singing. His entertaining skills were truly memorable and will be cherished by those who had the pleasure of experiencing them.
James will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched. He made a lasting impact on everyone around him and will be remembered as someone who spread love, warmth, and laughter. Although he is no longer with us, his memory will live on forever in our hearts.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 30 years, Martina Folan-Rodgers; children, Bryce and Brittany; Step Father, Harold Woods; siblings, Charlette “Tolly” Harrod, Ricky “Bubba” Ferrell (Belinda); one grandchild, Addelynn and many nieces, nephews, friends and other family members.
James is preceded in death by his parents.
