Obituary

George William Jernigan, went to be with Jesus on Friday, December 2, 2022. He was born August 16, 1942 to the late George and Dessie Jernigan. George was the owner of Jernigan Store Fixture, a 50-year member of Martiandale Baptist Church, Lions Club, NWTF, and CMA/Rock Rider. He was devoted to serving the Lord in prison and homeless ministries.  In his free time, he loved to hunt and fish. Most importantly George loved Jesus and he loved his family.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Susan Jernigan; his faithful companion “Peanut”; children, Cary Jernigan (Rhonda), Lee Jernigan (Tammy), Murry Draper (Linda), Leah Henline; siblings, Jeanette Hall, Ira Jernigan (Teresa), Della Moss; 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
