Floye Grace (Harness) Brewer

Floye Grace Brewer, 81 of Clinton, gained her heavenly wings on Wednesday, October 4, 2023. She was born July 4, 1942 in Jerome, Arkansas to the late Vernon and Ethel Drye-Harness. Floye was a truly wonderful person. She touched the lives of many through her work and dedication to helping others. Floye was a retired employee of Altell and the state of Arkansas. She put her heart into serving her community and was actively involved in the ESA organization, where she held various roles. She was also an active member of the Choctaw Church of Christ and volunteered at the Choctaw Food Bank. Floye loved baking and always shared her delicious homemade sourdough and banana bread with friends. Her warm and friendly nature meant she never met a stranger; she had a way of making everyone feel loved and cared for. Above all, her family meant the world to her, and she cherished them dearly. Floye will always be remembered for her kind heart, her genuine love, and her unwavering happiness. Her legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Sherri Singleton (Quenton), Walter Gunn II (Mary), Lorrie Gunn (Harkey), Teresa Daulton (Kerry); one sister, Jane Meyers; 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, and a growing number of great-great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and other family members. 

Floye is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Brewer; siblings, Vernon Harness, Wayne Harness, Hubert Harness, Margie Forbis.

Pall Bearers are Chris Daulton, Dakota Daulton, Bradlee Stephens, Gabriel Singleton, Caden Singleton, Keith Hines.

Honorary Pall Bearer, Tanner Daulton. 

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with services following at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at the Choctaw Church of Christ with David Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Cherry Hill Cemetery in Perryville.
