Floyd “Skip” William Fox Jr., 70, of Clinton, departed from this world on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 10, 1954, in Sulphur, Louisiana, to the late Wilbur Manis and Geraldine Shetley- Fox.
Skip proudly served in the United States Coastguard and later he worked for many years at Packs Lumber, where he built strong friendships and was respected for his hard work and dedication. A true jack of all trades, he enjoyed woodworking, riding motorcycles, and gardening—taking great pride in the garden he nurtured.
He was known for his kind and caring nature, always carrying a soft spot for children and a heart full of generosity. Skip never met a stranger and was a loyal friend and confidant to many.
Skip built a life centered on love, family, and friendship, and he will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and the joy he brought to those around him.
Left to cherish his memory is his fiancé, Teana Presnull; his children, Sonja (Michael) Shaw, Austin Fox, Haley (Mateo) Waldman, and Alexis Fox; and many grandchildren who brought him immense pride and happiness. He is also survived by his brothers, Scott Fox, David (Lorie) Fox, and Kenny Fox, along with many nieces and nephews who dearly loved him.
Skip is preceded in death by his parents, Geraldine Fox and Wilbur Manis; his sister, Valarie Small; and H.I. Small.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, 12:00 P.M. at the Botkinburg Foursquare Church.
