Eloise McCall Brown, lovingly known as "Weesie," was born on July 30, 1945, in Dallas, Texas, to Robert Seiver and Eloise McCall. She passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025, in Little Rock, Arkansas, surrounded by her family who loved her deeply.
Eloise was the heart of her family and a steady source of warmth and encouragement to all who knew her. She is survived by her devoted husband, Kenneth Brown, with whom she shared 55 amazing years of love and many adventures. Whether they were white river rafting, cruising to many places around the world, planning beach trips for their family or feeding a small army of kids that might show up on any given day to their house for lake days, she was always the happiest with the love of her life by her side. She is survived by her son William "Dusty" Brown and her daughters Rosemary Haynes, Sarah Duck, and Margaret Greene. Her legacy and spirit live on in her 12 grandchildren and her many great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly and brought her endless joy and pride. Also left to treasure her memories are her brother Robert "Brother" McCall and sister Sarah McCall Hawley.
Her grandchildren affectionately called her "Weesie," a name that perfectly captured her spirit. Anyone that met her and that she considered to be a part of her family knew her by this name. Eloise was a charter founding member of the Piecemakers Quilt Group at Clinton Methodist Church, where she found joy in friendship and her creative side shined best. Her amazing talent and creativity have blessed so many people that she loved with these beautiful quilted masterpieces.
She will be deeply missed, but her love and the many wonderful memories she helped create will live on in the hearts of everyone who had the honor of knowing her.
A celebration of her life will be held on what would be her 80th birthday July 30, 2025, at 2:30 p.m., at Clinton First United Methodist Church, 167 Joe Bowling Road, Clinton, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 2-2:30pm before the service begins.
