Elizabeth Marie Quick, born May 19, 1950 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Teresa and Lawrence Bade. She graduated from South Side High School in 1968 and was a longtime resident of Fort Wayne, Indiana until 2000 when her and her husband moved to Dennard, Arkansas. She married James W. Van Holten July 20, 1984 and enjoyed almost 38 years together. Together, they enjoyed golfing, hunting, and shooting competitive archery together. Liz was a scratch golfer, a proficient hunter and fierce competitor at archery, often telescoping arrows. Liz and Jim enjoyed traveling on their motorcycle often. Liz had a commercial embroidery business, “Affinity Embroidery; she also handcrafted beautiful jewelry, she shared with others. She had a generous and giving spirit and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Liz is preceded in death by her husband, James Van Holten who passed away in January of 2022.
Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Tracey Bade (Jeremiah Krider) of Columbia City, Indiana and Dawn Bade of Fort Wayne, Indiana; one brother, Lawrence Bade Jr. of Fort Wayne, Indiana; three nieces, Theresa Krider, Ann Krider, and Chantelle Bade; four nephews, Lawrence Bade III, Thomas Bade, William Bade, Joshua Bade and many other friends and family members.
