Donnie Gene Burroughs

Donnie Gene Burroughs, 76, of Bee Branch, departed from this world on Tuesday, December 26, 2023. He was born on June 16, 1947, in Gravesville, Arkansas, to the late Ralph and Verlie Burroughs.

Donnie dedicated over 18 years of his life working for the county, specializing in vehicle and farm equipment maintenance. Additionally, he served on the water board for several years, contributing to the betterment of his community. A devoted servant of his faith, Donnie served as a deacon at Hickory Grove Baptist Church.

Known for his warm and friendly nature, Donnie was a storyteller at heart. His tales ranged from adventures of running his dogs to memorable deer stories, captivating those around him. Donnie cherished his family and friends, always finding joy in the company of loved ones.

Above all, Donnie held an unwavering love for his beautiful wife of 48 years, and his faith remained steadfast throughout his life's journey.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Carolyn Burroughs; six children, Jerald Burroughs (Renee), Melissa Nipp, Ginger Subelt (Chad), Samantha (Adam Becker), James Kerry (Haley), Gary Don (Stephanie); 24 grandkids, 13 great-grandkids and numerous friends, family, and other family members.

Donnie is preceded in death by his parents and one daughter Joy Dawn.

Pall Bearers are Paul Cates, Victor Barnes, Tommy Mahan, Robert Pettry, Justin Burroughs, David Isom.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Ozark View Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 29, 2023, 10:00 a.m. at Hickory Grove Church with Harold Bryant officiating. Burial will follow at Old Salem Cemetery.
