Donald Cooley, 79, of Clinton, Arkansas, passed from this life on Friday, December 12, 2025. He was born on November 19, 1946, to Ray and Martha Barnett-Cooley.
Donald knew the value of hard work and worked diligently to provide for and support his family. He held many jobs throughout his life, including loading chickens, driving a truck, operating heavy equipment, and hauling cattle; perhaps his favorite, though, was owning and operating his salvage yard and towing business.
Donald enjoyed riding horses and working on old cars, but the moments he cherished most were the time spent with his family. He loved his family deeply and took great pride in being a Pawpaw.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 60 wonderful years, Sharon Cooley; two sons, Tracy (Tracy) Cooley and Michael Cooley; five grandchildren, Jessica (Jonathan) Ross, Chasity Ward, Juliana (TK) Elm, Monica (Brock) Roberts, and Spencer Cooley; seven great-grandchildren, Nathan and Copen Ross, Faith and Hope Ward, Haiden Cooley, Victor Elm, and Phoenix Cooley; siblings, Calvin (Loreva) Cooley and Kathy Farrington; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other family members.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Debi Cooley.
Pallbearers are Gary Don Harness, Kenny Watts, Thomas Watts, Aaron Nicholson, Keith Cooley, and Spencer Cooley.
Honorary pallbearers are James Pack and all grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Holidays with Heroes program or to Half Moon Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday, December 15, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ozark View Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Ozark View Funeral Home, with Red Wolf officiating. Burial will follow at Half Moon Cemetery.
