Curtis Daniel Rose, 62, of Morganton, departed from this world on Sunday, November 28, 2021 after battling with a long, lengthy sickness. He was born September 27, 1959 in New Boston, Texas to Weldon Eugene Rose and Edna Ruby Raines. Curtis was a loving and loyal husband, father, and grandfather. He loved fishing and telling stories, he had a story for every occasion. We all loved him and enjoyed everyday with him. He will always be remembered and missed.

Curtis is lovingly remembered by his wife, Shelia Marie Rose of Morganton; children, Curtis Dylan Rose and wife Alicia Rose of Morganton, Ivy Michelle Long and husband, Mitchell Long of Greenbrier; sister, Jan Van Houten and husband Forest Van Houten; grandchildren, Violet Rose, Brianna Eans, Leah Jones, Christen Jones, Trae McMurtrey, Adilee McMurtrey, Gabi Presnull, Rowan Long; nieces and nephews, Ashely, Colston, Hariey and many other friends and family members.

Curtis is preceded in death by his father, Weldon Eugene Rose.
