Amanda Brown, 46, of Clinton, departed from this world on Monday, April 15, 2024. She was born on November 7, 1977, in Vicksburg, Mississippi to Timmie and Janice Coats.
Amanda was a cherished daughter, sister, a beloved mother, a caring aunt, and proud grandmother. She loved many things in life such as doing yard work; whether it was cutting grass or raking leaves, she loved tending to her yard. Amanda also had a special bond with animals; some might say she was the “Elly May” of Arkansas when it came to loving and caring for them but her greatest love was for her dogs. Whether she was playing fetch in the yard or cuddling on the couch, her love for them knew no bounds.
But above all, Amanda's heart belonged to her grandchildren. Their laughter brought her such joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Amanda was also known for her honesty; she never beat around the bush and always spoke her mind. She was always straight-up honest, never sugarcoating anything.
Left to cherish her memory is her parents, Timmie and Janice Coats; life partner, Corey Smith; son, Justin Lee Thomas and wife Brittany; brother, Craig (Bubba) Coats; grandchildren, Blaine Aiden Thomas, Bryson Gauge Thomas, Bayleigh Kaye Thomas, Madison Claire Bussell, Autumn Clarise Thomas; nieces and nephews, Boo, Torrey, Payton, Lillie and a host of family, friends, and other family members.
Amanda is preceded in death by her daughter, Summer Faith Thomas.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
